Random Wind Charters is a family run business since 1995. There are two boats: Random Wind and At Random. The mother ship “Random Wind” has traveled twice around the globe before settling down with Saint Maarten as her home port. She now enjoys the warm Caribbean breeze, the beautiful sunsets, and the family fun that spreads around when people are on her sturdy decks. She has a fully cushioned shaded stern that seats 10-12. The new cockpit cushions invite you to join the Captain for a chat and/or a try your hand at steering this traditional sailing vessel. You can sit or lay on the cushioned amidships, sit on the cushioned bench up front or, if you dare, ride on the bowsprit – THE BEST SEAT AROUND! The sound system includes fore and aft speakers for the radio and cd player with an board ipod hookup. Listen to our wide range of music or bring your own!
Her full time Captain, Jamaican born Learie Hall, is an excellent skipper. He will take you sailing along the beautiful coastal waters for two stops for some of the best snorkeling the island has to offer. His priorities are safety and fun. He will share his knowledge of St. Maarten/St. Martin as you site see along the way. With all new, high quality snorkel gear and noodles, you are guaranteed to enjoy the refreshing waters of the Caribbean in an atmosphere of safety and fun.
Whether you come with us on the Paradise Day sail or charter her privately, you will always enjoy an open bar, a full, iced cooler with sodas and beer as well as some of the best rum punch made with all natural juices and Puerto Rican Rum. Random Wind will never take more than 22 people, so you get personal attention and can enjoy your day away from the crowds.
“At Random” is a 26 foot Navy tender. She has deep seats for comfort and safety. Tour the lagoon, the coast of St. Maarten/or St. Martin. Get dropped off in Marigot for lunch after a morning of fishing and snorkeling. Do the shipwreck snorkel combo with or without lunch; it’s up to you. All trips include Captain, snorkel and fishing gear, snacks, a cooler full of beer, soda, water, etc., and a jug of famous rum punch! At Random has done marriages, caught big fish, seen the most awesome sunsets and is a great family boat for all ages. Cruise the largest lagoon in the Caribbean and check out the Mega Yachts on a mellow sunset cruise.
At Random Private Water Shuttle: DON’T SIT IN TRAFFIC! Let us take you to lunch or dinner in your Private Water Shuttle Cruise Simpson Bay Lagoon on a relaxing boat ride. Unwind with a drink on the way to the restaurant of your choice. Enjoy your meal; we will pick you up when you are ready. Drink as much as you want – we are driving! Stop for a nightcap on the way home if you’d like. The boat is yours for the afternoon/evening. $30.00 per hour (Up to 18 people) Cooler full of drinks is always included!
